Candida Overgrowth
Candida is a common and useful yeast or fungus that lives naturally in the gut. It breaks down sugars. If the diet becomes high in sugars then the candida can grow out of control. Overgrowth can be a precursor to psoriasis or eczema. The autoimmune system can take the battle to the skin. Tests where candida is injected into the skin of an animal produce all the indications of psoriasis.
Studies have found that there may be a significant correlation between the body having antibodies to candida and symptoms of allergic dermatitis or eczema. Unexplained rashes that lasted for many years often clear up with antifungal treatment.
Treatment
Women with vaginitis should avoid bubble baths and alkaline soaps which destroy the natural pH. External treatment of genitalia needs many more times dilution of oil of oregano with olive oil or coconut oil. Drops under the tongue or capsules can be taken in the normal way.
